February Meeting – Change in date

Hi everyone … I wanted to make you aware of a schedule change that will take place for our February meeting.

Normally, we have our monthly workshop on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. However, in February, that would mean having it Valentine’s Day. So, for February only, we will be pushing the meeting back one week. It will be held on Tuesday, February 21 at the normal place and time (The Well – Pineville, NC / 7pm). So, please make sure you adjust it on your calendars as we don’t want anyone to show up on the wrong date.

Thanks and we look forward to seeing you on Feb. 21 !

NSAI will provide the ham and turkey so everyone bring a side dish or dessert. Visitors and NSAI members bring your friends and family, and be sure and be there! This will be a time for fellowship and celebration.

Hey everybody … Just a quick reminder that Allen Shervelle and Jon Webber will be playing the Vintner’s Wine Market this Thursday, October 20 at 7pm. Allen is a former member of our Charlotte NSAI chapter, who moved to Nashville to pursue his songwriting career a couple years ago. The duo is called “JUSTICE”, and they will be bringing it to Charlotte this week.

Don’t miss it – it’s gonna be a great evening of music !

September 27, 2011 Workshop – RSVP Please!

Hi Gang,

Don’t forget we are kicking off Song Builders this Tuesday September 27 with a great workshop..Come to the Well in Pineville at 7P.M. I’ll be teaching f rom a module I use in my CPCC songwriting class. It’s called “Music Theory for Songwriters”. It’s a stripped down presentation of the basics every songwriter should know to enhance and/or improve their songs musically.

I’ve taught this to many students with ZERO knowledge of music theory, and they have all said that by the end, it all made sense to them. I promise you will not be confused by the information I present. In fact, I expect many light bulbs to go off during our time together.

One more thing. As not to waste Susan’s time or the time of those attending, please RSVP to me as soon as possible so we know how many to expect. If we no one or only get two or three responding, I’ll do the workshop at a different location. *So please make sure to reply.*

This workshop is open to both NSAI members and non-members alike, so please feel free to invite friends and family if they’re interested.
