2015 Calendar and Tin Pan South

Hey Everyone!

Last Friday, Fiona, Bobby, Steve and myself, met and set the meeting agenda for the year 2015.  We are currently firming up our most exciting calendar year ever, and will have it ready to share with you in full during the month of February.  But so far, here are the first three months, so you can go ahead and mark your calendars:

February 10th:  We have new and old friends coming out for the master of imagery, Steve Simpson, teaching a lesson on how to put imagery into your songwriting.

March 10th:  I will be hosting a kick off to Spring song circle, and I will be bringing snacks for everyone to share.  Before the song circle, Bruce Johnson will be teaching on how to properly critique a song.  While we are going around the circle if anyone would like to have their song critiqued, we can do so.  Bring whatever you want to play.  New, old, and covers if you’d like.  This is a time for us to connect, have fun and share music!

April 14th:  Our very own Tim and Sarah Williams will be teaching a class on co-writing.  They will take us through the process of co-writing a song from beginning to end.  Then Tim will sing three songs that he and Sarah have co-written with three different co-writers, including some from Nashville.

Please feel free to invite and bring your family and friends to any and all meetings.  My goal is for us to go home having learned something, shared some music, been heard, and feeling better than when we arrived each month.

Also, Tin Pan South is coming up soon in Nashville, the last week of March.  Some of the best songwriters in the country playing their songs in venues all over Nashville.  The schedule will be released and passes will go on sale March 3rd.

This is something to keep in mind, because it’s right around the corner.
