Peter Mulvey Workshop on October 10th

Misty has arranged for one of the wonderful and talented instructors from the Swannanoa Gathering – Peter Mulvey  ( www.petermulvey.com) – to come to Charlotte on Saturday, October 10th, to teach a two-hour songwriting workshop for us, from 2 til 4 pm at The Well.  The topic of his workshop will be “Constructing and De-Constructing a Song.”  If you’re not familiar with Peter’s songs, take a moment and look at this video of Peter performing his song, “Shirt” :  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPzSC9XqU30 . Those of us who have been in his classes at Swannanoa know what a great teacher he is.  For those of you who have been wanting to attend the Swannanoa Gathering but haven’t made it yet, this is your chance to get a little taste of it!  The cost of the workshop is only $20.  Snacks and drinks will be provided and Peter will bring along some of his amazing cd’s.

If you are interested in attending the songwriting workshop, please send an email to Steve at sisimpson@aol.com to let us know you will be attending, and bring $20 in cash or check to our NSAI Charlotte meeting on September 8th, or mail a check for $20 made out to NSAI Charlotte, to Steve or Misty Simpson, 8916 Abrell Walk Court, Charlotte, NC 28226.  Or you are welcome to pay at the door on the day of the workshop.

Peter will be performing with Alice Peacock that night at The Evening Muse, and a lot of us will be attending.  If you are interested in going, purchase your tickets at www.eveningmuse.com.  We already have ours!

It will be a great workshop and show, don’t miss either!

Steve Simpson, Misty Simpson, Fiona McAllister, Bobby Davis
