Tomorrow night, February 9th, is our next NSAI Charlotte Meeting! As always, it will be held at The Well, 220 Main Street, Pineville, at 7:00 p.m., with Susan, we will go until approximately 9:30 p.m.
Tomorrow night’s agenda will be based on song critiques. Our NSAI Headquarters told all of the Coordinators at Spring Training that they recognize song critiques as the most important part of our NSAI Meetings.
If a singer/songwriter performs and the audience is listening, at the end of the song they automatically clap. In some venues, they are using the singer/songwriter as background music. However, NSAI meetings give singer/songwriters an intimate setting to receive real feed back from their peers. Tomorrow night, we will discuss the importance of song critiques for the singer/songwriter and the people giving the critiques. We will have Glenn Selby back, as asked for, to lead us in a night of extended song critiques. Please bring with you any song you are working on or have finished and twenty-five copies of your lyrics to the meeting. It’s going to be a fun night with lots of great music played and lots of learning to go along with it! So feel free to bring your family and friends to any and all meetings. We will provide snacks, coffee and water. We only ask that you tip The Well for any drinks we have while there.
Our goal is for you to go home having learned something, shared some music, been heard, and feeling better than when you arrived.
Don’t forget, next month, Tuesday, March 8th, is our Spring Song Circle, and Saturday, March 19th is our Ellis Paul Workshop!
