Agenda for May 9th Meeting

This is just a reminder.  Tomorrow, Tuesday, May 9th, is our monthly NSAI Charlotte Meeting.  As always it is held the second Tuesday of the month at The Well in Pineville, NC, 28134, with Susan hosting.  Our meetings are held from 7:00 pm to approximately 9:30 pm.

This month’s lesson will be taught by one of our favorite instructors, Glenn Selby.  Have you ever sat in the audience of a concert, whether big or small, and thought, that sounded great?  Every song flowed and everything they said was clever and engaging?  Or have you thought, all of these songs sound exactly alike?  And I sure wish this guy or girl would stop talking and just play?  Getting your playlist in the proper order to flow is important.  Knowing what to say and not say is important.  It doesn’t just happen…it takes some work to make it look like you haven’t worked at it!  These are just some of the things that Glenn will be teaching our group about playlists and talking in front of an audience.

The second half of our meetings are always set aside for members’ song critiques, so be sure to bring 25 copies of your songs if you’d like to have a song critiqued.

As with all of our meetings, please feel free to bring family and friends.  We provide snacks for free and drinks are available for a donation of your choosing.  We hope you go home having learned something, shared some music, been heard, and feel better than when you arrived.  If you’re in a group and not having fun…you’re not at a NSAI Charlotte meeting.

Next month, we will be having our kick-off to Summer song circle!  So get ready to sit in a circle and play some music!!

See you Tuesday,

Misty Simpson, Fiona McAllister, Bobby Davis, Julie Martin Dean, Coordinators
